Nittetsu Mining Co., begins in 1899 as the raw materials department of the Yahata Steel Works. State company that together with other companies form Japan Iron & Steel Co. Ltda (currently, Nippon Steel Corporation).

In 1939, the mining division separated from the Japan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. company in order to dedicate itself to the extraction of raw materials such as coal, minerals, steel and limestone. Its commercial activities, in addition to mining, are related to the engineering, environmental and commercial areas.

Since then, Nittetsu Mining Co. has prospered and expanded, while bearing the great responsibility of supplying raw materials to Japan's basic industries through the development of underground resources.

Minera Nittetsu Chile was created in October 1993, with the mission of generating and promoting new opportunities in the mining business, developing projects with efficiency, quality and safety, through a multidisciplinary human team, focused on continuous improvement and with awareness environmental.

Mining company located in the Tierra Amarilla commune, Atacama Region, dedicated to the extraction and processing of copper concentrate. It began its operation in 2003 developing the Los Bronces project.

The company has continued to produce continuously to this day, with a high focus on the integral development of the region and with a projection of at least 10 more years.
